As we reach the end of 2017 I have started planning and registering for races for 2018. So far on my schedule I am planning on the following:
Running
4/28 - Derby Festival Marathon, Louisville, KY: https://derbyfestivalmarathon.com/#
I haven't run a marathon in Kentucky and figured this would be a good one
? - Airlife Run, Littleton, CO: Date has not been set yet
A local race that I try to run, last year I was a race marshal as it was too close to another race.
5/28 - Bolder Boulder, Boulder, CO: http://www.bolderboulder.com/
This is the 40th running of this race and I took the last couple years off due to other races.
7/28 - Idaho Falls Marathon, Idaho Falls, ID: http://www.idahofallsmarathon.com/
I have not run a marathon in Idaho and this looked like a fun one for my brother and I to do. He is after all 50 states and still needed Idaho. Plus it's not often you get to run one on your birthday.
10/7 - Chicago Marathon, Chicago, IL: https://www.chicagomarathon.com/
I entered the lottery and got in. I ran it back in 2011 and did not have a good time as the heat and humidity did not cooperate.
11/17 - Queenstown International Marathon, Queenstown, NZ: https://queenstown-marathon.co.nz/
This will be continent #6 in my pursuit of all 7. Everyone I know who has run this race liked it and it worked out timing wise much better than running one in Australia.
Triathlon
I have not signed up for one yet but I am looking at a couple of different Olympic distance triathlons.
